Where is Leatt Located?

Our head office can be found at the address: Atlas Gardens,12 Kiepersol Crescent, Cape Farms, Cape Town, 7550 in the Western Cape province of South Africa.  The founder of Leatt Corporation, Dr. Christopher Leatt is South African and developed the Leatt-Brace® in Cape Town, South Africa.

Dr. Leatt began research and development of a protective device for the cervical spine after witnessing the death of a fellow motocross racer the weekend after his son, Matthew started riding. He filed his first patents in 2003. The brace was then tested in Munich, Germany by BMW engineers at their facility and the first production units were sold in late 2006.

The Leatt-Brace® is now a world-renowned, award-winning protective device worn by top athletes and our products now include helmets, body armor, knee braces, elbow guards, hydration systems and apparel. Leatt Corporation distributes these products globally. As of 2020, Leatt is a head-to-toe Moto and MTB brand.

Research and development take place in Cape Town, South Africa in our Leatt Lab. Leatt also has warehouses and a distribution office in California for the North American Market, as well as a global network of distributors for Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and Oceania.
