athleteShaun Simpson

BIO

Shaun started racing professionally in 2005 and has been rising in the ranks ever since. One of Britain’s favorite off-road motorcycle racers, he already showed potential as a teenager. His father was the great Grand Prix campaigner, Willie Simpson, and it just seemed natural for Shaun to follow in his father’s footsteps. With his father and brother helping him along, he managed to build his professional racing career.

His most prestigious accomplishments include two British titles (2008, 2014), a Belgian Championship (2011), a few Grand Prix wins (2009, 2013), and four Team Great Britain representations at the prestigious Motocross of Nations. He is also known for his friendliness and down-to-earth attitude, which makes him a fan and media favorite.

Shaun’s kit includes the Leatt GPX 6.5 6.5 Neck Brace to protect him when he is racing. “I’m still totally convinced by neck protection. I don’t feel the brace when it is on me and it doesn’t bother me at all. The other day I had a crash – a stupid one while I was practising, I clipped a slower guy and went down on my head and flipped around. And you think ‘what could have gone wrong there if I didn’t have it on?’” he says.
