Noel started his two-wheeled career on motocross bikes. Later, he switched to mountain biking, because it was easier for him (and also for his parents), to go for a bike ride with his friends on local trails than to drive to a motocross track.
In the 5-6 years that he raced 4cross, he won every race on a national level and because of his talent on every other bike, he got the chance to accompany an international downhill racing team and show his potential on a big bike.
“It seems like I didn’t do that badly, because after that, I was racing three years for this team and managed to win two World Cups as a junior. After I finished my apprenticeship, I raced as a semi-professional for a few years, working as a lumberjack in the off-season. Today I’m riding for the Hiag Data – NS Bikes Factory Racing Team and am the only full-professional rider in Switzerland,” he said.
