Milan has been a legend in the Czech downhill world since 1994. He started his racing at the Downhill Czech National Series, WC, and IXS Cup and has since then been combining downhill with enduro over the last five years.
Both Milan and his brother were pioneers of downhill in the Czech Republic, and they are known for racing on their own frames, forks and other components. As one of the first in the world to use carbon for the frame of a downhill bike, their bike had a hub of 200mm in 1996.
He works as a CAD designer which means that he has to travel a lot. So far he has made cars for Bentley, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Rolls Royce, VW, Škoda, and Fiat.
Milan is now competing at top-level in the Enduro World Series. He captured third place in overall Enduro World Series Masters 2016.
“My brother Hynek obtained a neck injury, which made me decide that I that I must wear neck protection. Leatt is the leader in neck protection and was my first choice. I like that it is compatible with Leatt’s body protection range. Being protected by Leatt has been a key factor in allowing me to push my limits. Their gear is safe while also being comfortable enough to wear all day out on the race course. I choose the the Leatt 3DF 5.0 and AirFlex Pro pads. Both are fantastically light and flexible, making them comfortable enough to climb in, as well as durable and protective during descends. At the Enduro World Series, I rode in my Leatt full-face helmet and it is very lightweight and well-ventilated.”
