The first time this professional BMX rider from Germany got on a BMX bike was in 2000 at a small theme park during a family holiday in Sweden. Once he was on the bike, he did not want to get off and spent the entire day riding around. His love for the sport was instantaneous.
When they returned home, his father managed to track down a BMX track close to where they lived – and that is when he traded in his soccer shoes for his BMX bike. He has also not looked back since as he has made BMX racing his career and has even represented his country at the Olympic games. Luis has been part of the national team since 2009 and has been competing in the Olympics since 2012.
