athleteJoe Smith

Joe is a downhill mountain biking racer from England who has been riding bikes since a very young age with his father in the forests. He decided to give racing a try in 2004 and has developed a true passion – and skill – for it.

Now part of the CRC team and racing professionally all over the world, he has made quite the name for himself in the mountain biking world. He is a steady finished in the Top 20 of the Downhill World Cup.

Sam Hill, one of his old team mates who is also a Leatt ambassador, introduced Joe to the Leatt brand and he has been wearing the Leatt Neck Brace ever since.

He races for Norco Factory Racing and is currently on his 10th full season of Elite level World Cup racing.

“I love the feeling I get from going as fast as I can on DH tracks, especially wild, steep and natural ones. I have been using a Leatt neck brace for my entire Elite career and can’t imagine racing without one now. If I didn’t race DH I’d love to be a Rally driver or Enduro MX racer (basically anything fast on dirt),” he says.
