Danny is a young Downhill Mountain Bike rider from England. The UCI Men’s Downhill World Champion (2011) grew up in Redcar and is currently still residing there. He has been part of the Mondraker team since 2015.

He started competing internationally at the age of 16 in the elite class and proved himself by attaining the best Downhill World Cup result of 22nd at Vallnord Andorra in June, 2008. The following year, he won the Maxxis Cup in Vigo, Spain and came second in the Junior National Championship at Innerleithen, Scotland. He also came third at the Junior World Championship in Canberra, Australia and secured the 20th spot in the Elite class at the Fort William, Scotland round of the World Cup in June.

After securing the World Champion title in 2011, Danny, Jonathan Edwards (former Olympic triple-jumper) and Charlotte Ellis (world paratriathlete) set out to raise £31m in order to help build a leisure center in his hometown, Redcar.
