Marvin Musquin talks about his crash before the Toronto Supercross
During the crash, my head went all the way back but my Leatt stopped it before it went too far back.
On March 23rd, 2013 Marvin Musquin won the Lites class at the Toronto Supercross. What you probably don’tm know is that he had this horrible crash earlier in the day, a crash that without his Leatt neck brace might have killed him.
“I arrived last night in Houston for this weekend’s supercross. Then today i went to the KTM truck, and as i checked my stuff in my locker and saw my helmet (the brand is Airoh) and my Leatt Brace from the crash in Toronto…
I must say a big “Thank you” to Airoh helmets and Leatt neck braces for the protection they provided to me during that crash: Both the helmet and neck brace I was wearing during the crash are broken. My helmet has a crack on the side, and my Leatt has one on the back side in the carbon area. During the crash, my head went all the way back but my Leatt stopped it before it went too far back. That’s why the piece is broken.
Some people are still skeptical about the Leatt brace. I can tell you I’m not just a sponsored rider, trying to give a good image of a product… I really believe in it. I’ve had it proven to me so many times already, and again in Toronto – it has saved me many times. This is a big part of my safety, and I’m glad I was wearing it. Same goes from my helmet.
I’m happy to say I’m a proud Leatt and Airoh Ambassador!”
