Garrett Marchbanks Debuts as Pro Rider at Hangtown

Garrett Marchbanks has started his professional racing career at the first round of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross on May 19 at Hangtown in Sacramento, CA.

Racing under the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team, he takes on the series kitted in his Leatt GPX 6.5 Neck Brace and the C-Frame Pro Knee Brace.

He has been part of the Leatt Family for five years now –  from his early days as an amateur racer – and Leatt is proud to see him move up to pro.

Marchbanks, who is originally from Utah in the US, added several titles to his name during his amateur racing years. He won eight titles at the Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross Championship, won the 2014 AMA Youth Motocross Racer of the Year, and the 2017 AMA Amateur Motocross Racer of the Year.

“I am super stoked on this new opportunity and I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings for me. I have worked so hard for this pro seat and I am ready to do what it takes to make it to the top,” he said.

He finished strong at his first pro race with 12th place in Moto 1 and 6th place in Moto 2, giving him 10th place overall at Hangtown.

Marchbanks is a proud ambassador of the Leatt brand and Leatt wishes him all the best with this exciting new challenge.
